These cells have receptors for, and respond to, gonadotropins and secrete testosterone and lesser amounts of other androgens and estrogens. The ovaries of some postmenopausal women contain P-450 aromatase and secrete estradiol. There is little evidence that inhibins A or B are secreted by postmenopausal ovaries.
